Information about Florida Doctors- online search

You can search these Florida Department of Health sites for information about Florida practitioners- clicking the links will open a new window and take you to other sites that have access to both basic and detailed information about Florida physicians including previously paid malpractice claims. If you are trying to find information on a particular doctor, remember to check your favorite search engine, and even Facebook and MySpace.

First- license information: Florida Dept. of Health- will help identify the practitioner for the next step.

Second- profile the doctor- this is physician supplied information and includes areas of practice, awards, and other information that the state hasn't verified.

Third- history of previously paid malpractice claims- better than most states but still incomplete in some areas. We always have to check with the Courts to see if there is any current or pending litigation. However, this site has records of paid malpractice claims for doctors, lawyers, and hospitals based on insurance company reports.
